Yesterday: a tribute to Daphne and Celeste

Yesterday was a great day in the history of pop music, for it was the day that I went to Steel Wheels - a "serious music fan" record shop in Newcastle possibly named after a Rolling Stones album - to find the indie CD's on the sale rack replaced by pop CD's. Here is an account of the things I bought:

Daphne and Celeste, "We Didn't Say That!" - Daphne and Celeste were ace. Their album is hilarious. Costed: 99p
A Kavana promo CD - He's due a comeback. Gareth has stolen "Will You Wait For Me", which wasn't a hit for Kavana, despite the video featuring a white rat also named Kavana. Costed: 50p
B*Witched's first album - Features "Blame It On The Weatherman", the best title for a song ever. Costed: for some obscure reason, 48p
Michael Jackson, "Off The Wall", on cassette - I have this album on record. I have this album on CD, twice. I now have it on tape. I need to buy a mini-disk player. Costed: I've forgotten. It was cheap, though.
