I soon got into gear and took a seat in the driving lane of life

My friends were all pretty surportive
Fame at last!

It was something of an irony that the colapse of Life Mechanics forced me to live in my car

Now that I was literally in the parking lot of life, I needed a new direction
So I joined The Police

And now I solve all your pop problems - the legal way!

Referencing Previous Hits Appreciation Day!

It had to be, really, didn't it?

Best Overall Referencing goes to Ms. Minogue with the wonderful Spinning Around. Also features the lyric "Threw away my old clothes/Got myself a better wardrobe", which is one of the finest moments in pop.
Best Boyband Referencing goes to NSync. In Girlfriend they manage to reference two previous hits. "So tell your man bye, bye/Tell 'im you're long gone". Bonza.(That is so, so true - Crystal)
Best Debut Hit Referencing goes to Ms. Spears, re-hashing Baby One More Time in Stronger. "My loneliness ain't killing me no more". Ace!

Pointless? I was bored.
