American Life: World's First Review. In The World.

Except not really. Have just heard the full length version, as opposed to snippets dotted about the internet. Madonna is back. I've missed her. If this is what we can expect from the new album, I'm much excited. "American Life" is an electronic pop song much in the same vein as "Die Another Day", except with even better lyrics, and more singing. And it's not a Bond song, which is always a plus.

Best bit: Possibly the best peice of music ever. The rap, with the imortal lyrics, "I do yoga and pilates/And the room is full of hotties/I'm checking out the bodies", is ace. I love Pervy Rapping Madonna.
Worst bit: Features a guitar. Although not necessarily a bad thing when it comes to Madonna songs, the guitar doesn't quite fit with the Veronica Electronica-vibe on "American Life". Besides, who needs guitars anyways?

(Ok, I have to say, I love the guitar bit. And I also love the electronic bits. And I love how they go together. And I love the lyrics. I may have to amend my Best Songs Of The Year allready. Dave Grohl will be pleased - Crystal)
