My Main Men From Mercury 4



I recieved this e-mail this morning from the Mercury 4 Crew. It's fun to play 'find how many things are wrong and hilarious' with the following statment:

"Our single 'Get Me Some' is officially released today (30 June). We just received really exciting news that it has debuted in the KMart and Big W charts at NUMBER ONE! Yay! There is a quantity of LIMITED EDITION singles out there which come with a FREE bonus poster, so make sure you get yours AS SOON AS POSSIBLE 'cos once it's gone, it's GONE forever! Please tell your friends...."



- It's debuted at number 1 in the Kmart and Big W charts has it? I don't know exactly what that means, but I think nothing. Glad you're 'excited' though boys! It'll be even more exciting I'm sure when you debut at 74 in the ACTUAL charts!
- Limited Editions!! They will all be 'limited editions', I guarantee it
- FREE bonus poster! Can't wait to throw that one in the bin
- 'Once it's gone it's gone forever!' They will still be sitting on the shelves in 3 months time, right at the back of the M section
- 'Please tell your friends'. I sure have, but in a fairly sarcastic way

The Song

I've finally listened to it, and, it sounds EXACTLY like a Blue song. And it's hopped in a time machine and visted 1999. It IS better than the latest D-side and Triple 8 songs, but it's very average. The b-side actually isn't that bad though, and the remixes sound promising. I might still buy it, it'll be 4.44 at Kmart which I can make up out of the 10 and 20c pieces from the jar in the kitchen. Kmart rock.
