I Finally Found Pictures Of Girlfriend Online!  My point being, I was going to say that I didn't like the Girls Aloud album as much as albums by other girl groups with girls in the title, but as I've never been able to find anything on Girlfriend online before, I wasn't holding much hope of finding a picture of them. But I did!
Girlfriend rocked my world big time. 5 years before the Spice Girls they were the first girl group I was ever obsessed with. The sung about Girl Power, they had raps in their songs, their ballads were good, and they wore REALLY fab clothes for the time. Their hats were the equivilent of Girls Aloud's silver outfits. Their best song is Bad Attitude, which sounds like Janet Jacksons' Black Cat but with a ballad bit. Thier other most bonza songs were Take It From Me, Without You and Girls Life. The did the ultimate Spice Girls trick when the best member left and they went all serious and boring and flopped big time. They changed thier name to GF4. Like the Sugababes and Bananarama, they have an ex-member called Siobhann. Unlike the other two though, Siobhann from Girlfriend is not still attempting a musical career, but is working in a shoe store in Sydney. Melanie can be caught on informercial show Bright Ideas Saturday afternoons on Ten. They ruled.
