I would have thought that was obvious.

Firstly, with the exception of 'Spotlight', it is pointless, and a bit shit.

Secondly, it is a remix album, and remix albums are the stupidest things in the world, because nobody has ever, ever released a good remix album - very few people have gone so far as to release a good remix.

Let's consider the evidence:



All remix albums that I have owned - or have considered owning, at least - at certain points in time. All painfully, painfully shit.

I have never understood people who listen to remixes, people who listen to the kind of remixes that Madonna put out in her early days, because I have never understood people who would want to listen to nasty, drum machine-centric dance music outside the clubbing context.

There is one exception to the rule...

But we'll get to that later.
